Why should we pray if God already knows all about us; even the number of hairs that we have on our head? It’s because God created us to have free will. He wants us to come to Him willingly and not under compulsion or by force. He has given us a mind to make decisions and the most important decision is about where we will spend eternity. We have the free will to decide who will we serve and how will we live our lives. We have the free will, if we want to accept Jesus as our Lord and our Savior.
Even though God knows the future, the beginning from the end, we don’t know the future choices we will make. It’s important to live by faith allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us to make the right choices in our life. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." (John 16:13 NKJV) As a believer, one of the most important things that you can do is pray. Don’t go by your feelings or think you are not good enough to come to God. Yes, He invites you to enter is throne room by grace and seek His face. He longs to hear from you and is waiting for you to call out His name. |
